The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has just approved the inspection plan of the General Department of Environment for 2017, which states that environmental inspections will be conducted in many provinces and cities.

Specifically, in 2017, the General Department of Environment will inspect the compliance with environmental protection laws by production and service businesses in the following provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Tra Vinh, and Vinh Long.

Inspect the compliance with environmental protection laws at facilities, industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech zones, and industrial clusters in provinces and cities located in the Cau River basin (Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong); the Nhue-Day River basin (Ha Nam, Ninh Binh); and the Dong Nai River basin (Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

In addition, conduct inspections to verify the implementation of inspection conclusions by violating establishments from 2014-2016 in the provinces and cities of Quang Ninh, Hung Yen, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Quang Tri, Phu Yen, Thua Thien - Hue, and Quang Ngai.

Also in 2017, the General Department of Land Management will inspect the implementation of administrative procedures on land at all levels, focusing on procedures such as: land acquisition, compensation, and resettlement support when land is acquired; land allocation, land leasing, and land use conversion; initial registration and registration of land changes, and issuance of land certificates for organizations, households, and individuals who carried out these procedures from July 1, 2014, to the time of inspection in a number of cities, districts, and communes in the provinces of Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Hanoi, and Gia Lai.

The General Department of Geology and Minerals will also conduct a thematic inspection of the management of exploration, exploitation, and use of stone as common construction material in the provinces and cities of: Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Quang Binh, and Nghe An. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment also stated that in 2017, the Department of Water Resources Management inspected the implementation of the inter-reservoir operation process on river basins and a number of hydropower and irrigation reservoirs in the Dong Nai, Vu Gia - Thu Bon, Ba, Se San, and Srepok river basins.
