A team of nearly 100 White House staff members will have to "race against time" as they only have six hours to set up and prepare all 132 rooms in the White House to welcome the new President's family.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on January 20th, President Barack Obama, his wife, and two daughters will have to say goodbye to the place where they lived for eight years in office to make way for Donald Trump's family. Immediately after they leave, White House staff will have to quickly redecorate and rearrange the building to welcome the new occupants.
Cleaning staff will move Obama's belongings out of the trucks through the South Garden and out of the White House, while trucks carrying Trump's belongings will drive into the White House in the opposite direction.
"This is like organized chaos," White House staff manager Stephen Rochon said on CNN on January 1.
On "Transition Day," January 20th, while the moving crew rushed in and out, in other areas of the White House, other staff members were "racing against time" to prepare the dining room. Chefs were also busily cooking the first light meal for the family of the 45th President of the United States before they held their inauguration reception that evening.
Mr. Rochon said that everything on the second and third floors of the White House – the First Family's private residence – could be changed.
Donald Trump once shared that he had no plans to redecorate the building at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in his opulent style. He stated, "This is a very special place… where I'm about to work. I'm not going to redecorate."
Regarding the departing Obama, Rochon revealed that the 44th US President wanted to take the special showerhead he had used for many years to his new residence.
