"More than 12,000 civilians have returned to their homes in eastern Aleppo. Everyone has received the necessary assistance," General Konashenkov said.

In addition, he noted that with the support of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, more than 50 tons of food, medicine, and other necessities have been delivered to settlements in the Aleppo, Damascus, Latakia, and Hama provinces in the past few days. Konashenkov also emphasized that more than 60,000 Syrians have received humanitarian assistance.

The city of Aleppo in northern Syria was completely liberated from armed opposition groups last December and is now under the control of Syrian government forces.
