Provincial leaders wish the Provincial Party Committee a Happy New Year

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2017, on the morning of January 25, the Provincial Party Committee Office organized a meeting "Celebrating the Party - Celebrating Spring", wishing a Happy New Year to cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Committees.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh stated: In 2016, under the leadership of the Party and the consensus of the entire people and army, our province overcame many difficulties and challenges, reaped many important achievements in all fields, with the total product in the province (GRDP) increasing by 7.5% over the same period.

The economic structure has shifted in the right direction. The average GRDP per capita (according to the new calculation method) in 2016 is estimated at 28.54 million VND (26.15 million VND in 2015). The total state budget revenue in 2016 reached more than 11,000 billion VND, the highest ever.

Of the 27 main targets set by the Provincial People's Council for 2016, 25 targets were completed and exceeded the plan.

Nghe An is one of the leading localities in the country in terms of the number of communes meeting new rural standards. The cultural and social fields have many positive changes, national defense and security are ensured, and hunger eradication and poverty reduction are taken care of.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, the Provincial Party Secretary warmly commended the results that cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Committees have achieved in advising and serving the leadership and direction work, proactively building and organizing the implementation of the working program of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, organizing the dissemination and development of action programs to implement the Resolutions at all levels.

In the context of large workload, pressure and high requirements, the Provincial Party Committee's cadres, civil servants and public employees have basically completed their assigned tasks well, contributing to effectively solving the tasks according to the proposed program.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized that in 2017, despite many remarkable results, the results did not meet expectations, and people's lives in many localities in the province still faced many difficulties. We need to frankly look at the objective and subjective causes. That poses new requirements for the leadership of the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.

Cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of Party committees must continue to promote tradition and experience; renew the thinking and mettle of cadres in Party agencies; strengthen discipline, order, and internal solidarity towards further improving the quality and efficiency of assigned work. At the same time, it is necessary to further improve the quality of staff work, serving the organization to effectively implement the 2017 work program.

The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that, in the spirit of internal solidarity, efforts, and unity, Party committees need to coordinate to strongly deploy, inspect, and urge the implementation of the Party's Resolution into life; creating momentum to achieve the goals set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and Resolution 26 of the Politburo by 2020.

On the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh wished the cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers of the Provincial Party Committee and their families good health, happiness, success, and more outstanding achievements in the new year 2017.
