The South Korean automaker says users can fold the scooter with just one hand and it fits into the front door compartment of the Ioniq for charging.
The scooter is fully equipped with both front and rear lights, and a sensor that detects when someone is standing on the vehicle before activating the driving mode. To accelerate, the rider simply turns the adjustment knob on the handlebar with their thumb; to brake, they can use their foot to push down on the rear wheel, or turn the knob downwards with their thumb.
Currently, the Ioniq Scooter is only a display product, showcasing the concept to attract the attention of visitors to the company's booth at CES 2017, and there are no concrete production plans yet.
