World music scene 2017 awaits special marks

After a vibrant 2016, the world music scene is looking forward to a 2017 with special highlights. These include famous music events, grand tours, and new music products from many popular names.

Taylor Swift is the highest-earning female star in the music industry last year. Beyonce's younger sister 'escaped' her older sister's shadow with an album that dominated the American music industry. Teen girl group TBC: Don't expect to 'steal' the music industry. The first notable music and sports event in 2017 was Lady Gaga's performance at the Super Bowl in early February in Texas, USA. This will be the second time the 30-year-old star has attended this prestigious event.

In 2016, Lady Gaga transformed from a rebellious singer into a big star. She made history by becoming the first artist to perform at three major events in one year: the Super Bowl, Grammys and Oscars.

In early January, Ed Sheeran released two songs, Shape of You and Castle on the Hill, marking his return after more than two years without new songs. The two songs from the upcoming album ÷ immediately set a record on the music social network Spotify, receiving more than 6.8 million and 6.1 million listens, respectively, after only 24 hours of release. That shows the public's anticipation for the British star's third album, which he plans to release next March.

Another notable name that promises to continue to cause a stir this year is Drake. More Life will be the first music product that the Canadian singer will release to the public in the coming months.

Last year was a successful year for Drake, who became the first artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify with One Dance. This song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 10 consecutive weeks, along with a series of major music awards.
