(Baonghean.vn) - Tet is a day of reunion and everyone wants to return to their families in the sacred moment of welcoming the new year. However, there are prisoners who have to serve their prison sentences and are unable to fulfill this simple desire. However, with the humane policies of the Party and the State and the attention of the Board of Supervisors at Prison No. 6 (Thanh Chuong - Nghe An), more than 4,000 prisoners have a full and warm Tet.

According to regulations, during Tet, prisoners are entitled to a meal 5 times higher than usual. Each prisoner is given 4 Chung cakes. In addition to the State's policy, the Board of Directors and the Sub-camps have additional policies so that prisoners can have a full and warm Tet. Many prisoners celebrated Tet away from their families for the first time, and wrapped banh chung for the first time, but they were very positive. |
To cook 4,800 banh chung, prisoners of Sub-camp No. 1 had to work for 3 days. |
Similarly, at Sub-camp No. 3, prisoners are also making the last batches of cakes before distributing them to the prisoners. |
At Sub-camp No. 3, there are currently 9 children under 36 months old who follow their mothers to prison. Here, the children are cared for and receive preferential treatment according to regulations. |
Although imprisoned separately from society, many prisoners still show confidence and optimism about life. |
In special conditions, prisoners still have space to participate in cultural, sports and physical education activities, thereby helping them gain more strength, confidence, and improve themselves to soon reintegrate into the community. |
