(Baonghean.vn) - Tet (Lunar New Year) is a time for family reunions and gatherings, and everyone wants to return home to their families during this sacred moment of welcoming the new year. However, some inmates, due to serving prison sentences, cannot fulfill this simple wish. Nevertheless, thanks to the humane policies of the Party and the State, along with the care of the prison management at Prison No. 6 (Thanh Chuong - Nghe An), more than 4,000 inmates had a complete and warm Tet holiday.

| According to regulations, on Tet (Lunar New Year), inmates receive a food allowance five times higher than usual. Each inmate is given four banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes). In addition to the state's policy, the prison management and the sub-camps also have supplementary programs to ensure that inmates can celebrate Tet fully and warmly.
