(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, the accounting office of the People's Committee of Hanh Dich commune (Que Phong district, Nghe An) was visited by thieves. Strangely, at that time, there was money and laptops in the room... but they were not lost, only documents.

On the afternoon of January 11, Mr. Vi Van Hoai, Chief of Police of Hanh Dich Commune, said that the accounting department of the People's Committee of Hanh Dich Commune, Que Phong District, Nghe An Province had just suffered a serious theft. All insurance records of officials, employees and some other documents had disappeared.

Accordingly, at around 7:30 a.m. on January 6, Ms. Pham Thi Luu (Chief Accountant of Hanh Dich Commune) opened the door of her office and discovered that her personal cabinet containing documents and books had been broken into. Immediately after that, she reported it to the Chairman of the People's Committee. And the leaders of Hanh Dich Commune reported it to the Que Phong District Police to investigate the cause of the incident.

Ms. Luu said that 3 pairs of 3-string file folders were lost, including 1 pair containing insurance files of civil servants of Hanh Dich commune and 2 pairs containing many documents and receipts of revenue and expenditure of Hanh Dich commune.

At the time Ms. Luu discovered it, the cabinet door in the Accounting - Cashier room had been broken open, the employee's laptop was on the table and the money in the safe was intact.

Ms. Pham Thi Luu, chief accountant of Hanh Dich commune, added: "At the time of the theft, the Accounting - Cashier Department had 4 people holding the keys, including me, the cashier, the revenue accountant and a revenue accountant who had transferred to another commune 4 months ago."

Currently, Que Phong District Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
