(Baonghean.vn) - To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of Nghe Tinh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, and to continue practical activities contributing positively to the preservation and promotion of the folk song heritage, on the afternoon of January 13th, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a ceremony to present financial support to Nghe Tinh folk song clubs in Nghe An.
Attending the funding presentation ceremony were People's Artist Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, and representatives from 8 folk singing clubs of Nghe Tinh in Nghe An.

Over the past period, the work of promoting and showcasing the value of Ví and Giặm folk songs has been intensified and expanded in scale and form by departments, localities, and clubs throughout the province, creating a high impact in the community. Also, in the past two years, the Association of Compatriots of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces has organized "Ví and Giặm Affection" programs, combining exchanges and performances of Ví and Giặm folk songs in many provinces and neighboring countries. In 2016, Ví and Giặm folk songs expanded their reach to include European countries...
On November 12, 2016, the "Affectionate Folk Songs" program, jointly organized by the Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi at the National Convention Center, attracted a large number of people from Nghe Tinh province residing in Hanoi.

After the performance ended, the Organizing Committee donated all proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales to support folk artists and folk singing clubs in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

In Nghe An province, eight folk singing clubs have received support in this round, with each club receiving 10 million VND. This funding aims to partially support the clubs' activities in the coming period.
