Funding support for 8 Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song clubs

(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the day the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs were recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, in order to continue to have practical activities that actively contribute to the preservation and promotion of the Vi and Giam folk song heritage, on the afternoon of January 13, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a ceremony to present funding to support the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song clubs in Nghe An.

Attending the fundraising ceremony were People's Artist Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports, and representatives of 8 Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song clubs in Nghe An.

8 clubs were awarded financial support in this period.

In recent times, the work of propagating, introducing and promoting the value of Vi and Giam folk songs has been promoted by departments, localities and clubs in the province, expanding both in scale and form, creating a high effect in the community. Also in the past 2 years, the Association of fellow countrymen of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces has organized the program "An tinh Vi and Giam", combining exchanges and performances of Vi and Giam folk songs in many provinces and neighboring countries. In 2016, Vi and Giam folk songs were expanded to connect with European countries...

On November 12, 2016, the program "An tinh vi, giam" co-organized by the Nghe An Association in Hanoi at the National Convention Center attracted a large number of Nghe Tinh compatriots in Hanoi to attend.

People's Artist Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports awarded financial support to 8 clubs.

After the performance ended, the Organizing Committee used all the revenue from sponsorship and ticket sales to support the artists and folk song clubs in Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

In Nghe An, 8 Vi and Giam folk song clubs have received support in this period, each club received 10 million VND. This is a source of funding to partially support the activities of the clubs in the coming time./.
