Nearly 40 thousand smuggled Chinese eggs seized

After collecting smuggled Chinese eggs in the Mong Cai area, Mr. Tra was transporting them for sale when he was discovered by authorities.

On January 27, Quang Ninh Provincial Police said that the Central Traffic Control Patrol Team, Quang Ninh Traffic Police Department, in coordination with Market Management Team No. 3, Quang Ninh Market Management Department, had just inspected and seized nearly 40,000 smuggled Chinese eggs.

According to Quang Ninh Provincial Police, at around 9:30 a.m. on January 26, on National Highway 18 (in Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province), the Central Traffic Control Patrol Team and Market Management Team No. 3 inspected a truck driven by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tra (in Dam Ha, Quang Ninh).

At the time of inspection, the joint force discovered 99 cardboard boxes containing nearly 40,000 smuggled Chinese eggs in Mr. Tra's truck.

Driver Tra confessed to being the owner of the above goods. Mr. Tra purchased the above Chinese eggs in Mong Cai area and then transported them to Hai Phong for consumption.

Mr. Pham Hong Son, Captain of Market Management Team No. 3, said that the act of smuggling products of unknown origin will greatly affect domestic production and people's health. Mr. Son recommended that people should use safe products with clear origin and geographical indications to ensure their health.

The case is being handled by the authorities according to regulations.
