Former US Secretary of State is willing to convert to Islam to protest Trump
Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said she is ready to register as a Muslim. The statement was made shortly after President Trump issued an executive order affecting immigrants to the US.
"I was raised Catholic, then converted to Protestantism and discovered my family was Jewish. I am willing to register as a Muslim in #solidarity," Ms. Albright wrote on her Twitter page.
Additionally, she wrote: “America needs to remain open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.”
Mrs. Albright is the first female US Secretary of State. She was born in Prague in 1937 and later immigrated to the United States.

According to AP, President Trump has issued an executive order to stop accepting Syrian refugees and will close the US's major refugee program within 12 days.
According to documents obtained by the AP news agency, Mr. Trump also plans to stop issuing visas to people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen for at least 30 days.
