At 12 noon on November 28 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2017), a fire broke out at the home of Mr. Uong Dinh Thanh, born in 1949, residing in Hamlet 3, Xuan Tuong Commune (Thanh Chuong District).

Accordingly, at the above time, after burning incense on the altar, Mr. Thanh and his wife went to his siblings' house in the commune to burn incense. The fire broke out from the altar and then spread throughout the house.

At that time, only Le Hong Anh (Mr. Thanh's nephew) was left at home, but because Anh was mentally disabled, he did not know how to call for help.

A moment later, the fire rose high, burning almost the entire middle room, then people around discovered and mobilized to put out the fire.

It is known that Mr. Uong Dinh Thanh is a 2/4 class war invalid, has a damaged eye, and is in difficult circumstances.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated. Initial estimates are over 100 million VND.
