Tom Hanks to produce film about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton
Actor Tom Hanks will become the producer of a film about the 2016 US presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
HBO's new film project will recreate the race to the White House and Donald Trump's unexpected victory over Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
According to AFP news agency, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman have agreed to produce the film. The film will be based on the book by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, which is still in the process of being edited.
The film will truthfully and comprehensively reflect the ups and downs of both Trump and Hillary during the recent US presidential campaign. In addition, the film will also have many interesting comparisons between Donald Trump and his predecessor, former President Barack Obama.

The screenwriter and the two main actors who will play Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in this film have not been revealed yet. Many people predict that the person playing Trump will most likely be Alec Baldwin, this male star often impersonates and imitates Donald Trump's gestures and dress style on the TV show Saturday Night Live.
HBO has also produced several election-themed films, including Recount (2008), about the 2000 US election, when George W. Bush defeated Al Gore; Game Change (2012), about the 2008 campaign of Republican candidate John McCain. These films are all based on the books by Halperin and Heilemann.
"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, the authors of their best-selling book, Game Change. This groundbreaking work has created compelling political reporting that tells stories both inside and outside the presidential campaign," said an HBO representative.
