Wanted person still calls gang to provide protection and collect debt

On the afternoon of March 8, news from the Criminal Investigation Department (PC52) of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police said that the unit had just arrested dangerous wanted suspect Huynh Tang De (36 years old, residing in An Dong ward, Hue city) after many months of hiding.

According to the police, on the evening of October 10, 2016, while sitting drinking water near gate number 9 of Tu Do Hue Stadium, Le Thi Huong (41 years old, residing in An Cuu ward, Hue city) had a conflict with Phan Bao An (45 years old, residing in Vy Da ward, Hue city).

Thinking that An was challenging her, Huong asked Tran Quoc Binh (44 years old, residing in Xuan Phu ward, Hue city) to resolve the matter. After that, Binh called Huynh Tang De and De invited 5 other people named Vu, Tri, Son, Nghinh, Tan to chase and beat An.

Police took Huynh Tang De's statement.

Although An hid in a billiards shop and locked the door, the suspects broke the glass door, then used bottles and billiard cues to hit An in the face, causing serious injuries.

After committing the crime, the suspects split up and went to Bac Ninh province and Da Nang city to hide. These suspects later turned themselves in. De was still on the run, so the Hue City Police Department issued a nationwide wanted notice.

After receiving the dangerous wanted notice for Huynh Tang De, Department PC52 of Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police organized verification and arrest.

Through professional measures, detectives discovered that while on the run, De gathered with some people from outside society to provide protection, collect debts for hire, and make more weapons (2 machetes, 2 axes) to take revenge on his accomplices who revealed his crimes.

After learning of the suspect's movements, at around 10:30 a.m. on March 7, while De was drinking at Thuan An beach, Phu Vang district, detectives raided and arrested him.
