Despite being a fugitive, Đệ continued to connect with various individuals to provide protection services and collect debts, while also manufacturing weapons to take revenge on his accomplices.

On the afternoon of March 8th, the Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department (PC52) of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police announced that they had arrested Huynh Tang De (36 years old, residing in An Dong Ward, Hue City), a dangerous fugitive, after several months of hiding.

According to the police, on the evening of October 10, 2016, while sitting and drinking near Gate 9 of the Hue Freedom Stadium, Le Thi Huong (41 years old, residing in An Cuu Ward, Hue City) had a conflict with Phan Bao An (45 years old, residing in Vy Da Ward, Hue City).

Believing that An was challenging her, Huong asked Tran Quoc Binh (44 years old, residing in Xuan Phu ward, Hue City) to resolve the matter. Binh then called Huynh Tang De, and De, along with five other individuals named Vu, Tri, Son, Nghinh, and Tan, chased and beat An.

Although An hid inside a billiard hall and locked the door, the assailants violently smashed the glass door, then used glass bottles and billiard cues to hit An in the face, causing serious injuries.

After committing the crime, the suspects split up and fled to Bac Ninh province and Da Nang city. These suspects later surrendered one by one. However, De remained at large, so the Hue City Police Investigation Department issued a nationwide arrest warrant.

After receiving the wanted notice for Huynh Tang De, the PC52 Department of the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police organized verification and arrest operations.

Through investigative techniques, the detectives discovered that while on the run, De had been associating with several individuals outside of the criminal underworld to engage in protection rackets, debt collection, and the manufacture of additional weapons (2 machetes, 2 axes) to take revenge on accomplices who revealed his criminal activities.

After monitoring the suspect's movements, at approximately 10:30 AM on March 7th, while De was drinking and eating at Thuan An beach in Phu Vang district, the detectives swooped in and arrested him.
