Nghi Hop invests 123.5 billion VND in building new rural areas.

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghi Hop commune celebrates the 620th anniversary of the birth of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi and receives the certification as a new rural commune.

Over the four years of focused implementation of the New Rural Development program, Nghi Hop invested 123.5 billion VND, of which 81 billion VND was mobilized from the people to fulfill the program's criteria. At the end of 2012, Nghi Hop had only met 9 out of 19 criteria, but by November 2016, the locality had completed all 19 criteria according to the National Criteria Set for New Rural Development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - praised and congratulated the Party Committee, government, and people of Nghi Hop commune on achieving the title of New Rural Area standard commune. He also requested that the local Party Committee, government, and people continue to pay attention to and direct efforts to maintain and improve the quality of the New Rural Area criteria, building a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Nghi Hop homeland.

On this occasion, four individuals and four groups with outstanding achievements in the New Rural Development movement of the commune were awarded Certificates of Commendation by the Provincial People's Committee. Nghi Hop commune received 500 million VND from the Provincial People's Committee and 300 million VND from the Nghi Loc District People's Committee to build rural welfare facilities.

Also this morning, the Party, government, and Fatherland Front of Nghi Hop commune (Nghi Loc district) solemnly organized a ceremony commemorating the 620th anniversary of the birth of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi. Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi was born in the year Dinh Suu (1397) in Thuong Xa village, Chan Phuc district, now Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district. In 1418, he and his older brother, Nguyen Bien, joined the Lam Son Uprising and achieved many victories, helping Le Loi defeat the Ming army. Afterwards, he also made great contributions to the construction and development of the country in the early Le Dynasty.
