Nghi Hop invests 123.5 billion VND to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghi Hop commune celebrates the 620th birthday of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi and receives recognition as a new rural commune.

During 4 years of focusing on implementing the NTM construction, Nghi Hop has invested 123.5 billion VND, of which 81 billion VND was mobilized from the people to implement the program's criteria. At the end of 2012, Nghi Hop had only achieved 9/19 criteria, but by November 2016, the locality had completed 19 criteria according to the National Criteria for NTM Construction.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of Nghi Hop commune for achieving the title of a commune meeting the NTM standards. At the same time, he requested the Party Committee, government and people of the locality to continue to pay attention to directing the maintenance and improvement of the quality of NTM criteria, building Nghi Hop homeland rich, beautiful and civilized.

On this occasion, 4 individuals and 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in the commune's new rural construction movement were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee. Nghi Hop commune was awarded 500 million VND by the Provincial People's Committee, Nghi Loc district People's Committee awarded 300 million VND to build new rural welfare works.

Also this morning, the Party, government, and Fatherland Front of Nghi Hop commune (Nghi Loc district) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 620th birthday of Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi. Grand Tutor Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi was born in the year of Dinh Suu (1397) in Thuong Xa village, Chan Phuc district, now Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district. In 1418, he and his brother Nguyen Bien joined the Lam Son uprising and achieved many feats, helping Le Loi defeat the Ming army. Later, he also made great contributions to the country's development in the early Le So era.
