(Baonghean) - During the spring days, the weather in Hanoi was still pleasantly chilly, but it seemed that the people from Nghe An living in the capital were unaffected by this external circumstance. They gathered at the La Thanh Hotel to strengthen the warm bonds between those far from home and the officials and leaders of Nghe An province. Many stories were shared, but everyone's thoughts were directed towards their homeland with the most sincere and heartfelt affection.

At 88 years old, Comrade Nguyen Manh Cam - former member of the Politburo and former Deputy Prime Minister - arrived very early at the hotel's grand hall to meet with provincial leaders and the children of Nghe An working and studying in Hanoi.
Since his retirement, he has never missed a single meeting of the Nghe An Hometown Association in Hanoi. With his usual kind demeanor, he inquires about everyone's well-being and encourages them to strive and contribute to their homeland and country.

In his opening remarks at the meeting, former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam affirmed his pride in the tradition of studiousness, intelligence, and diligence of the people of Nghe An. He stated that these qualities must be further promoted by future generations of Nghe An's children in the era of scientific and technological development and integration with the global economy. "In particular, the fact that the leaders of Nghe An province coordinated the organization of this meeting in the capital city is like bringing the warmth of home; it's a great support for those who have left their hometown..." the former Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
Arriving at the meeting venue very early, Mr. Hoang Van Thanh (from Nam Dan) and many other young people were very excited to meet and chat with their fellow Nghe An compatriots. Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Thanh said: “Although I only transferred from Nghe An to Hanoi about a year ago and just returned from Tet less than a month ago, meeting so many people from my hometown makes me feel nostalgic… The presence of provincial leaders and representatives from many departments and agencies in Hanoi for this meeting encourages us to work harder and contribute more.”
Fourth-year student Le Bao Ngoc, from Nghi Loc, studying at the Foreign Trade University, expressed her determination at the meeting: “We see many successful people from Nghe An, so we must study hard to contribute to our homeland and country after graduation. We are proud to be from Nghe An…”

Despite studying and living in the capital, generations of people from Nghe An always look towards their homeland, following its development and contributing by promoting the intellect and positive cultural values of Nghe An, spreading a spirit of responsibility and dedication to their homeland and country. Sharing his thoughts on this matter, Comrade Le Doan Hop - former Member of the Central Committee of the Party, former Minister of Information and Communications, and former Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee - emphasized: “There is a large number of successful, dedicated people from Nghe An living outside the province who are always focused on building their homeland. I think that is a value that Nghe An should promote and utilize effectively in the era of innovation and integration…”
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong affirmed the province's active support for people from Nghe An living away from home. In fact, many people from Nghe An who have left their hometown have returned to invest in projects and factories, support the poor, and contribute to the province's socio-economic development. Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized: The people and leaders of Nghe An province are extremely proud that many people from Nghe An, even when living away from home, always demonstrate the willpower, resilience, diligence, and intelligence characteristic of the people of Nghe An.
