They gathered at La Thanh hotel to strengthen the warm relationship between those far from home and the cadres and leaders of Nghe An province. There were many bustling stories, but everyone turned to their homeland with the most sincere and passionate feelings.

Although he is 88 years old this year, comrade Nguyen Manh Cam - former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister was present very early at the hotel's large hall to meet with provincial leaders and Nghe An children working and studying in Hanoi.

Since his retirement, he has never missed a meeting of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi. With his kind gesture, he visited and encouraged everyone to strive to contribute to their homeland and country.

In his opening remarks at the meeting, former Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam affirmed his pride in the tradition of studiousness, intelligence and diligence of Nghe people. He said that these factors must be promoted by generations of Nghe people in the period of scientific and technological development and integration with the world economy. “In particular, the coordination of Nghe An provincial leaders in organizing the meeting in the capital is like bringing warmth from the homeland, which is a great companion for children far from home… - the former Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Coming to the meeting location very early, Mr. Hoang Van Thanh (from Nam Dan) and many young people were very excited to meet and chat with the uncles and aunts from Nghe An. Through sharing, Mr. Thanh said: "Although I have just transferred my job from Nghe An to Hanoi for nearly a year and have just returned home for Tet less than a month, but when I met everyone from my hometown gathered together, I felt homesick... The presence of the provincial leaders and many departments and branches coming to Hanoi to meet seemed to encourage us to work harder and contribute more."

And fourth-year student, Le Bao Ngoc, from Nghi Loc, currently studying at the Foreign Trade University, when speaking at the meeting, expressed his determination: “We see that many brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts from Nghe An are successful, so we must try harder to study well so that when we graduate, we can contribute to our homeland and country. We are proud to be from Nghe An…”.

Sharing about this issue, comrade Le Doan Hop - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized: "There is a large number of Nghe An people living outside the province, successful, dedicated and always looking towards building their homeland. I think that is a value for Nghe An to promote and exploit well in the era of innovation and integration...".

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong affirmed the province's active support for Nghe An people living far from home. In fact, many Nghe An people living far from home have returned to invest in projects and factories, support the poor, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized: The people and leaders of Nghe An province are extremely proud that many Nghe An people living far from home always demonstrate the will, courage, diligence and intelligence of Nghe An people.
