A worker 'burst into flames' on a power pole.
While working, a worker was struck by a high-voltage electric current, causing him to burst into flames and emit thick smoke.

The incident occurred around 10:00 AM on March 12th, on Ly Thai To Street, Le Hong Phong Ward, Phu Ly City, Ha Nam Province.
According to initial information, at approximately the time mentioned, the worker was repairing electrical wiring when a high-voltage power line struck him, causing him to burst into flames.

Upon discovering the incident, people immediately shouted for help, but because the victim was high up and entangled in electrical wires, no one dared climb up to rescue him. Many people shouted and urged each other to call for rescue services to save the victim. In pain from severe burns, the victim continuously swayed on the electrical pole.
Some residents grabbed fire extinguishers, climbed a tree by the roadside, and sprayed the fire on the utility pole to save the person.
The victim then fell from a height, sustaining severe burns all over their body. Locals immediately administered first aid and then rushed the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Shortly afterward, authorities arrived at the scene, taking statements from workers who were on the same shift as the victim and from witnesses to the incident.
The Ha Nam Provincial General Hospital also confirmed that they had received a patient with severe burns caused by a high-voltage electrical discharge.
The victim is Do Van Luong, residing in Tam Thanh village, Kim Binh commune, Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province. Due to severe burns, the patient has been transferred to the National Burn Institute for treatment.
