The CZ 75-P07 Duty pistol used in Vietnam is the latest variant in the CZ 75 family of pistols manufactured in the Czech Republic. The first generation of CZ 75 pistols was introduced in the mid-1970s. Mass production and deployment began in 1976. It is estimated that over one million CZ 75 pistols, in various variants, have been produced.

Currently, more than 20 countries equip their law enforcement units with this type of weapon, most notably military technology powers such as the US, Russia, and Israel, which also have limited deployments of this weapon.

The latest version of the CZ 75-P07 Duty, currently used by Vietnam, was launched in 2009 and mass-produced in 2012. Compared to its predecessors, this new version features a modern design incorporating leading-edge materials and technologies, maintaining durability and stability while significantly reducing the gun's weight.

The safety catch design on both sides of the gun body allows for easy and safe use. The CZ 75-P07 Duty is compact and lightweight, measuring only 18.5 cm in length and weighing just 770g. The gun has a large magazine holding up to 16 rounds. Additionally, an extra round can be loaded into the chamber, increasing the total ammunition capacity to 17 rounds.

The components are designed to be simple, lightweight, and extremely reliable, allowing for easier maintenance. The gun uses 9mm x 19mm ammunition. The muzzle velocity is 353 m/s, and the effective range is 55 mm.

Furthermore, the gun's design incorporates a built-in Picatinny rail, allowing for the attachment of necessary combat accessories. The CZ 75-P07 Duty deserves the title of the best handgun currently used by the Vietnamese Police.
