On the morning of March 8, talking to reporters, Mr. Dau Van Su said that the fish suspected to be a golden croaker he caught on the morning of March 3 has not yet been sold. The fish is still alive and being raised on a boat in the Cam River.

“Many people called to pay, the highest bidder was 570 million, but they only paid over the phone and no one came in person. That’s why the family is still raising the pig and has not been able to sell it,” said Mr. Su.

With a sad voice, Mr. Su said that on the morning of March 6, a woman called and offered 570 million VND. This person said she would come in the afternoon to see and buy the fish, but she never showed up.

Because the fish were raised for several days, plus many people came to see, the owner had to catch them many times, so the fish are now weak, swimming lethargically, not as healthy as before.

According to Mr. Su, if anyone comes directly and offers a reasonable price, he will sell it immediately. If he delays, he is afraid that the fish will die. If the fish cannot be sold, the family will butcher it to eat.

It is known that although the people in the ward negotiated and deposited money with Mr. Su so that they could take the fish to sell, Mr. Su did not agree because the price was not suitable.

In the past few days, Mr. Su’s family has been losing sleep over the fish. At night, he has to carry the fish out to the river and only bring them closer to shore in the morning.

It is known that this is the first time someone has caught a shiny, strange-looking goldfish, believed to be a rare golden croaker on the Cam River, Nghi Loc./.
