"Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc incites parishioners."
On the morning of March 8th, in an interview with a reporter, Mr. Dau Van Su stated that the fish, suspected to be a golden snapper, that he caught on the morning of March 3rd has not yet been sold. The fish is currently still alive and being kept on the boat's deck in the Cam River.

"Many people called to make offers, the highest bid was 570 million VND, but they only made offers over the phone; no one came in person. That's why the family is still raising them and hasn't been able to sell them yet," Mr. Su said.
With a sad voice, Mr. Su recounted that on the morning of March 6th, a woman called and offered 570 million VND for the fish. She said she would come to see and buy it in the afternoon, but she never showed up.
Because the fish have been kept for several days, and many people have come to see them, the owner has had to catch them many times, so the fish are now weak, swimming sluggishly, and no longer as healthy as before.
According to Mr. Su, he now sells to whoever comes directly and offers a reasonable price, because he's afraid the fish will die if he delays. And if he can't sell the fish, his family will butcher them and eat them.
Reportedly, although residents in the ward had negotiated and deposited money with Mr. Su so they could take the fish to sell, Mr. Su had not agreed because the price was not right.
Over the past few days, Mr. Su's family has been losing sleep and appetite guarding the fish. At night, he has to transport the fish further out into the river, only bringing them back closer to shore in the morning.
Reportedly, this is the first time anyone has caught such a striking, shimmering golden fish, believed to be a rare golden snapper, in the Cam River, Nghi Loc.
