The BBC reported that the intruders entered the studio but did not disrupt the broadcast and then sneaked away.
A BBC spokesperson said: "We are stepping up security measures and are urgently investigating to find out how that group managed to break into the studio."
The person added: "No one was injured and the broadcast continued as normal, without interruption."
The BBC News website reported that the intruders sneaked into the studio and left unnoticed. The BBC is increasing security measures following the incident.
According to the Independent, this is not the first time someone has broken into the BBC offices. Back in 1999, a young man in his twenties broke into the BBC newsroom. He jumped through the turnstiles of the old BBC headquarters at the Television Centre in West London, threatening to kill BBC staff. However, he was subsequently subdued.
