The BBC said the men entered the studio but did not interrupt the broadcast and then sneaked away.
A BBC spokesman said: "We are stepping up security measures and are urgently investigating how the group was able to gain access to the studio."
“No one was injured and the broadcast continued as normal without interruption,” the person added.
The BBC News website said the intruders entered the studio and left without being noticed. The BBC is stepping up security measures following the incident.
According to the Independent, this is not the first time someone has broken into the BBC office. In 1999, a young man in his 20s broke into the BBC newsroom. He jumped through the turnstile of the old BBC headquarters at Television Centre, west London, and threatened to kill BBC staff. However, he was later subdued./.
