(Baonghean.vn) - After a week of care, the 8 kg fish, suspected to be a golden snapper, died and was bought by a shop owner in Nghi Thu ward (Cua Lo town) for 15 million VND.

"Father Nguyen Dinh Thuc incites parishioners."

"The owner of the suspected golden snapper is losing sleep over guarding against thieves."

"Traders offered 550 million VND, but the owner of the golden snapper refused to sell."

On the afternoon of March 9th, Mr. Dau Van Su (residing in Block 8, Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town) stated that he had sold a fish, believed by many to be a golden snapper, weighing 8 kg, for 15 million VND to a restaurant owner in Nghi Thu Ward (Cua Lo Town).

"When the fish was alive, someone offered 30 million dong, but I didn't sell it. When the fish died, they came again and offered 15 million dong. Because I couldn't wait any longer, I agreed to sell it, whatever I got was fine," Mr. Su said.

For over a week, Mr. Su's family's life has been turned upside down after catching a rare fish. Many people flocked to see it and called to offer prices, and the added burden of guarding the fish from theft meant they lost sleep almost every night.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 4 am on March 3rd, while fishing on the Cam River, Mr. Dau Van Su caught a fish with a shimmering golden color. Many people believed it to be a rare golden snapper, so Mr. Su took it into his boat to care for it. Many people called to offer prices, the highest being 570 million VND, but in the end, it was only sold for 15 million VND.
