To help Uncle Ho's hometown develop sustainably and appropriately
(Baonghean) - For Nam Dan to develop, it is necessary to change the mindset and vision to create a breakthrough in tourism development; along with that, there needs to be a mechanism and institution to change the "class" of Nam Dan, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute emphasized.
Nam Dan is the hometown district of President Ho Chi Minh, but the concern of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An is that Nam Dan's development has not been commensurate with its potential advantages.
Tourism is a strength, a unique advantage, "exclusive" of Nam Dan, because this is the land that gave birth to a historical figure of the world: President Ho Chi Minh. But Kim Lien Relic Site is currently just a sightseeing destination, not a tourist destination. Therefore, Nam Dan must sketch out a portrait of modern, classy Nam Dan, taking high-class tourism as a pillar, a spearhead industry in local development.
In particular, the most important goal of Nam Dan is to become a national tourism center; taking tourism as the “soul” so that other industries and activities must serve it and develop according to that goal. For example, agriculture must be specialty agriculture, industry must aim for high technology.
At the same time, if developing in the direction of high-class tourism, it requires a service system, the government has enough conditions to meet that requirement. On the other hand, Nam Dan tourism must be closely linked directly with Vinh city, Cua Lo and other localities.

Along with building a high-class national tourist center, the issue of building cultural people is an extremely important factor. I would like to say this: Uncle Ho is the only person who can bring the whole world to a nation, making the whole world know and love the Vietnamese people. At the same time, Uncle Ho is the person who brought Vietnam to the world. This is the core point. Now Uncle Ho has passed away, but we must follow his spirit to attract world visitors to Nam Dan, to Nghe An and Vietnam.
To do that, we must build the character and culture of Nam Dan people so that when people come to Sen Village, Hoang Tru, they will feel the unique features that cannot be confused with other villages. Kim Lien is the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of the nation, an outstanding world cultural celebrity. Uncle Ho is a sacred figure, so Kim Lien must be a "sacred land" that attracts visitors.
A very important task to build Nam Dan into a high-class national tourism center is to do a good job of planning, along with checking and supervising so as not to break the planning for immediate benefits. Because, maintaining the planning is a very difficult problem. So, who will be the one to implement the planning, that requires Nam Dan to create an attractive environment to attract leading businesses, creating momentum as a pillar to implement the planning for the realization of the development goal of turning Nam Dan into a national tourism center.

At the same time, to develop tourism, Nam Dan needs to adhere to the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on the Nam Dan National Tourism Planning Project. The favorable factor for Nam Dan is that in the Conclusion document of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, the emphasis is on the Nam Dan National Tourism Planning Project to call for investment in tourism development, guide the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, guide the province to develop a project to submit to the Prime Minister for approval, which is like a suggestion for Nghe An province to build a National Project on developing Nam Dan into a national tourism center.
I think it is very necessary for the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to issue a separate Resolution for Nam Dan, giving direction for Nam Dan to develop. This is the premise and motivation for President Ho Chi Minh's hometown to develop sustainably and appropriately.
