Immediately after discovering the incident, the Ky Son Forest Protection Management Board held a meeting and disciplined three officers of the Nam Can - Na Ngoi Forest Protection Management Station for allowing deforestation in the forest area they were assigned to manage, said Mr. Cao Van Quynh - Head of the Ky Son District Forest Protection Management Board.

Accordingly, the disciplinary council dismissed Pham Van Tinh, Head of Nam Can - Na Ngoi Forest Protection Management Station; two officers, Luong Vinh Phuc and Truong Van Sang, received disciplinary action of reprimand.

"After the working group of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development inspected the situation, they found that the disciplinary measures of Mr. Phuc and Mr. Sang were too light compared to the level of violation, so they raised the disciplinary level from reprimand to warning. Mr. Cao Van Quynh - Head of the Ky Son Protective Forest Management Board, is jointly responsible, so he is waiting for the disciplinary measure from the Disciplinary Council of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in early April," added Mr. Trinh Van Thanh, Head of the Department of Personnel Organization of Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

It is known that Nam Can - Na Ngoi forest protection management station has 5 officers, managing 40,000 hectares of forest. After Mr. Pham Van Tinh was dismissed, Ky Son protective forest management board transferred an officer from the Technical department to replace him.
