'Goat herder' from Nghe An releases first album
(Baonghean.vn) - After becoming "famous" online with the nickname "goat herder" singing bolero, Nguyen Thanh Vien has just released his first MV called "Love between the two banks" with 12 lyrical songs.

Talking about his memorable musical turning point, Nguyen Thanh Vien said: After finishing university (majoring in Human Resource Management, Thai Nguyen University), Thanh Vien decided to move to the South to find an opportunity to pursue his childhood dream of... becoming a singer.
However, life was difficult, not as imagined, Thanh Vien accepted to work as a waiter, receptionist, accountant, assistant manager at restaurants... Then because of a misunderstanding, Thanh Vien was fired.
During a trip back to his hometown (Nghia Dan, Nghe An) to treat a stomach ache, Thanh Vien went up the mountain to herd goats with his sister and both sisters sang the song "Knock on the heart's door" and recorded it themselves on an old computer.
Unexpectedly, when this self-recorded clip was posted on Thanh Vien's personal Facebook page, many listeners enjoyed sharing it.
From here, the name "goat herder" was given to Thanh Vien by default. Many show producers, singers, tea room owners and audiences knew Thanh Vien and called him to sing.

"Thanks to Facebook, Thanh Vien was able to connect with the audience so that today Thanh Vien is still followed by the audience" - the "goat herder" said.
When asked: How did a young person like Thanh Vien decide to follow the lyrical music genre that is very popular with the elderly? Thanh Vien said: “Lyric music is close, simple, and gentle. Thanh Vien decided to follow this music genre because it suits his personality and character.”
After a period of quite active musical activities in Ho Chi Minh City, participating in some music competitions, Thanh Vien decided to release his first album.
"Love between the two banks" is an album that Thanh Vien has cherished for a long time and was also edited by Thanh Vien himself. Sharing this, the goat herder from Nghe An said: "Thanh Vien is new to the profession so he encountered many difficulties, he had to figure everything out by himself.

Thanh Vien was supposed to film this album in the style of a short film with a plot and psychological developments that are true to the life of a normal person, but because of limited budget, Thanh Vien had to film on stage to save money and try to express his feelings so that the audience could understand.
The album is about a young man, poor, dreaming of a beautiful love. However, the girl's family did not agree, he sadly watched his lover get married. It took him a period of torment and suffering to forget that love, to grow up, start over and hope for a new, more realistic love.
The motivation for Thanh Vien to try first is his passion for singing, his desire to contribute, and then the audience who hopes to see and hear his changes. The “Goat Herder” also hopes that his efforts will be accepted by the audience.
