The "goat herder" from Nghe An releases his debut album.
(Baonghean.vn) - After gaining online fame with the nickname "the goat herder" who sings bolero, Nguyen Thanh Vien has just released his first music video titled "Love Separates Two Shores," featuring 12 romantic songs.

Speaking about his memorable musical turning point, Nguyen Thanh Vien said: After graduating from university (Human Resource Management major, Thai Nguyen University), Thanh Vien decided to move to the South to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a singer.
However, life was difficult, not as she imagined. Thanh Vien accepted jobs as a waitress, then receptionist, accountant, and assistant manager in restaurants... Then, due to a misunderstanding, Thanh Vien was fired.
During a trip back to her hometown (Nghia Dan, Nghe An) to treat her stomach ailment, Thanh Vien went up the mountain to herd goats with her sister, and the two sisters sang the song "Knocking on the Heart's Door," recording it themselves on an old computer.
Unexpectedly, when this self-recorded clip was posted on Thanh Vien's personal Facebook page, many viewers enthusiastically shared it.
From then on, the nickname "the goatherd" became synonymous with Thanh Vien. Many show promoters, singers, tea house owners, and audiences knew Thanh Vien and called him to perform.

"Thanks to Facebook, Thành Viên was able to connect with his audience, and that's why he's still followed by viewers today," the "goat herder" said.
When asked how a young person like Thanh Vien decided to pursue the sentimental music genre, which is very popular with older people, Thanh Vien replied: "Sentimental music is intimate, simple, and gentle. I decided to pursue this genre because I feel it suits my personality and who I am."
After a period of quite active musical activity in Ho Chi Minh City, participating in several singing competitions, Thanh Vien decided to release his debut album.
"Love Separated by Two Shores" is an album that Thanh Vien has long cherished and also compiled by himself. Sharing this, the goat herder from Nghe An said: "Thanh Vien is new to the profession, so he faced many difficulties and had to figure everything out on his own."

Originally, Thành Viên intended to film this album as a short film with a storyline and psychological development that accurately reflects the life of an ordinary person, but due to limited budget, Thành Viên had to film it on stage to save money and try to convey his intentions to the audience.
The album tells the story of a young man from a poor family who dreams of a beautiful love. However, the girl's family disapproves, and he sadly watches his beloved marry someone else. It takes him a long time of torment and suffering before he can forget that love, mature, and start anew with more realistic hopes for love.
The primary motivation for Thanh Vien's efforts is his passion for singing, his desire to contribute, and then the audience's expectations and desire to see and hear his transformation. "The Goat Herder" also hopes that his efforts will be well-received by the audience.
