The 2014 Miss Vietnam runner-up has officially spoken out about the recent rumor of her flirting with her best friend's lover.

Recently, netizens were abuzz with the news that runner-up Huyen My texted her best friend’s boyfriend to flirt. Accordingly, a girl’s Facebook account shared text messages along with accusations and condemnations about Huyen My texting her boyfriend.

On the afternoon of May 16, Ms. Lan Phuong - mother of runner-up Huyen My officially responded to related issues. Ms. Lan Phuong said that Huyen My was one of the performers in the fashion show of designer Hoang Hai that recently took place.

Ms. Lan Phuong said: “I was very shocked when my daughter was implicated in this incident. I was the one who went directly to the show with Huyen My, returned home with her, and followed her closely throughout the show. I can confirm that during that show, Huyen My was completely focused on work, and had no time to chat or meet anyone else who was not involved.”

Replying to the message with the person who helped buy the dress for a charity purpose that she participated in is quite normal!

Contacting designer Hoang Hai - the owner of the fashion show with a dress auction for charity purposes, he said that according to Huyen My and this guy were not close because the runner-up only found out about the charity auction at the end of the day.

Nếu như đi nước ngoài thì ngay sau khi đọc được tin nhắn My cũng phản hồi lại. Có lẽ chính sự vô tư, hồn nhiên, lịch sự và thân thiện mỗi khi nhắn tin trả lời như vậy nên có thể dễ gây hiểu lầm”.
