The delegation conducted a direct on-site survey of the proposed location for the construction of a bus station for buses to Kim Lien. According to the plan, Nam Dan will build a bus station for buses to Kim Lien, covering an area of 45 hectares, located approximately 1km from the Kim Lien historical site and about 100m from President Ho Chi Minh's maternal birthplace.
On the morning of May 17th, a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, led by Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Thong, conducted a field survey in Nam Dan district regarding tourism development. Accompanying the delegation were members of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee: Ho Phuc Hop, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Le Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives from the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Department of Construction, and the Provincial Police. Representing Nam Dan district were Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, along with representatives from various departments of Nam Dan district. |
After the bus station is completed, to serve the transportation needs for sightseeing and relaxation in Nam Dan, there will be an electric vehicle system to pick up visitors to visit President Ho Chi Minh's paternal and maternal hometowns, the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, and the Chung Son Temple.
Next, the delegation surveyed the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan town, including visiting the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Area and relics related to King Mai Hac De.
Nam Dan district has potential and strengths in tourism development; however, it has not yet developed to its full potential and advantages. Therefore, the Resolution of the Nam Dan District Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term has identified the development orientation of Nam Dan as: tourism becoming an important economic sector to promote the district's economic development.

The tasks set by Nam Dan are: To leverage potential advantages, effectively exploit available resources, take advantage of all resources, attract investment to build tourism infrastructure and tourism products; and to focus on developing tourism in conjunction with socio-economic development. Expand and combine various types of tourism to create diversity and richness in tourism activities.

Focus on developing distinctive, key tourism products, gradually creating the brand "Nam Dan Tourism: Friendly and Hospitable," worthy of being a key tourism center of Nghe An province. Tourism will become an important economic sector to promote the economic development of the district.

At the same time, in order for Nam Dan to develop to its full potential and advantages, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued a Resolution on the direction and tasks for the development of Nam Dan district in the period 2017-2025, with consideration up to 2030.
In particular, the Resolution outlines the direction of developing Nam Dan into a key tourism district and striving to soon become a model new rural district of the whole country.
In particular, Nam Dan's most important goal is to become a national tourism center; using tourism as the "soul" so that other industries and activities must serve it and develop towards that goal.

Following the field survey, the delegation will contribute their opinions at the Provincial Party Standing Committee meeting held in Nam Dan district this afternoon, May 17th, to hear and give feedback on the draft Resolution of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the direction and tasks for the development of Nam Dan district in the period 2017-2025, with consideration up to 2030.
