Rape of biological child and stepchild of wife, sentenced to 30 years in prison

Nguyen Ngoc An often invited his wife's stepdaughter and his biological daughter to go catch frogs and crabs in the fields at night and then forced them.

The People's Court of Kien Giang province has just tried and sentenced defendant Nguyen Ngoc An (38 years old), residing in Tan Thanh commune, Tan Hiep district, to a total of 30 years in prison for two crimes of rape and child rape.

At the trial, Nguyen Ngoc An confessed that from the beginning of 2014 to August 31, 2016, he had repeatedly threatened, used force to coerce, and sexually assaulted his wife's stepdaughter and his own biological daughter.

According to the indictment, defendant An lived with NTKB as husband and wife but did not register their marriage. Defendant An and Ms. B. lived together with their four children, including one of Ms. B.'s stepdaughters.
