Formidable firepower of Vietnam's Project 771 landing ship

One of the most fearsome weapons on land is present on the Project 771 landing ship of the Vietnam People's Navy.

Nhìn chung tính năng vận tải đổ bộ của Project 771 không có gì đặc biệt hay là quá lớn, chúng chỉ được coi là tàu đổ bộ hạng nhẹ - trung. Tuy nhiên, hỏa lực của 771 thì thực sự đáng gờm, phải khẳng định rằng chắc chắn quân địch sẽ phải “kinh hồn bạt vía” khi dàn vũ khí của 771 phun lửa yểm trợ cho hải quân đánh bộ - xe tăng tái chiếm đảo, bờ biển. Trong khi đó, các tàu đổ bộ mang danh lớn nhất Hải quân Nhân dân Việt Nam – tàu 501 vốn được đóng theo công nghệ thời chiến tranh thế giới 2 – tàu này vốn là chiến lợi phẩm sau năm 1945 – cho nên không lạ khi hỏa lực của chúng kém hơn so với 771 dù kích cỡ lớn hơn hẳn.
