The health sector recommends: During the rainy season, after the water recedes, households need to clean their houses, dry their clothes, treat water sources for eating, drinking, and daily activities with alum, aquatabs, or chloramine B; clear sewers, and bury dead animals away from water sources.
To prevent intestinal diseases, households should always practice "eating cooked food and drinking boiled water". All food and drinks must be thoroughly cooked and boiled before eating or drinking, and should be eaten or drunk while the food is still hot, avoiding leaving it for too long. Do not eat raw vegetables or herbs. Do not eat pig blood pudding or blood pudding from other animals because raw blood pudding contains many types of bacteria that can cause diarrhea and food poisoning.
To prevent eye diseases, dermatitis, dengue fever, malaria, people need to regularly bathe and wash with purified and disinfected water. Do not bathe in dirty river, stream, pond or lake water because it is very easy to get sick. Use eye drops and wash eyes with saline solution (NaCl 9%o) 2-3 times a day; kill mosquitoes, larvae (larvae) and avoid mosquito bites./.
