The 16.25 m2 home of the young couple is captivating with its unique design.

The house is a mere 16.25 square meters.²Located in a small alley, this house boasts an ingenious design that everyone admires. From the alley entrance, you can see that the house has been stripped of all unnecessary details.

This is a very small house, measuring 2.5m on one side and 6.5m on the other, stretching along a narrow alley in the heart of Saigon.

The house is quite modest in size, with a width of only 2.5 meters. Given this extremely small area, the architect has arranged the functional spaces in a very simple yet complete and convenient way for a young family of three.

The ground floor combines the family room, dining room, and kitchen. To make these functions work flexibly and maximize usable space, the floor was raised, leaving the space underneath to serve as a dining bench next to the dining table.

The upper floor and a mezzanine level contain two bedrooms for the parents and the baby. The interior is designed with an open concept, allowing the bedrooms to receive natural light from a large skylight and good ventilation thanks to small windows in various directions.

The client and architect coincidentally shared a common preference for natural light and plenty of greenery indoors. This explains the valuable green spaces found throughout the house.

Despite its small size, the house still manages to incorporate some greenery thanks to the plant boxes on the upper-floor balcony. The rest of the balcony is concealed behind a block-shaped concrete wall. This rigid screen allows light to enter the interior but blocks the view from neighboring properties.

The child's bedroom is designed in a minimalist style with flexible furniture and maximum use of natural light.

Trees are planted on the roof, casting shadows on the floor, making the children's bedroom feel close to nature.

The staircase also functions as a storage area.

The bedroom utilizes sliding bamboo doors to ensure privacy, offering both elegance and convenience while maintaining a refined feel. Additionally, the bedroom floor is raised to create additional storage space. All these key elements make the cozy space seem larger and lighter.
