The house is only 16.25m wide2, located in a small alley but has a smart design that makes everyone admire. Looking from the alley, you will see that the house has been stripped of all unnecessary details.

This is a very small house, 2.5m on one side and 6.5m on the other, located along a narrow alley in the center of Saigon. |
The scale of the house is quite modest, only 2.5m wide. With this very small area, the architect has arranged the functional spaces very simply but fully and conveniently for a young family of 3 members. |
The ground floor incorporates a family room, dining room and kitchen. To make these functions work flexibly and maximize the usable space, the floor is raised leaving the space below to serve as a dining bench next to the dining table. |
The upper floor and a mezzanine contain 2 bedrooms for parents and baby. The interior is designed with openness to help the bedrooms have natural light from the large skylight and good ventilation thanks to small windows in all directions. |
The client and the architect happened to share the same view on natural light, as well as a lot of greenery in the house. This explains the precious green corners present everywhere in the house. |
Despite its small size, the house still has a green space thanks to plant boxes on the upper balcony. The rest of the balcony is hidden behind a concrete block wall. This rigid screen allows light to enter but blocks the view from the neighbors. |
The baby's bedroom is designed with minimalist style, flexible furniture and maximum use of light. |
Trees are planted on the roof, casting shadows on the floor, making the children's bedroom close to nature. |
Staircase combined with warehouse function. |
The bedroom uses bamboo sliding doors to ensure privacy, which is both polite and convenient, yet elegant. At the same time, the bedroom floor is also raised so that the space below can be used for storage. All these key elements make the cozy space seem larger and lighter. |
