Vietnamese singer drowns after being missing for a month.

On June 20th, the family posted a notice announcing that they had completely lost contact with young singer Duong Hung Khanh. After nearly a month, they received news that he had passed away at the age of 24 due to drowning.

Speaking to Zing.vn, the younger brother of young singer Duong Hung Khanh confirmed that the 24-year-old singer had passed away due to drowning in the Phu Da islet area, Ben Tre province. However, the cause of his drowning has not yet been determined by authorities. On July 15th, the family was in Ben Tre to bring his body back to his hometown. Today (July 17th), Duong Hung Khanh was buried in his hometown in Ha Tinh.

Friends of the singer of "Suddenly Sad" shared that they were shocked and stunned to hear of his sudden death. On his official Facebook page, his management company stated that on July 15th, many colleagues accompanied his family to Ben Tre to bid farewell to Duong Hung Khanh at his final resting place.

Previously, his family had lost contact with him since June 20th. They had to ask friends and netizens to share information about him on social media in the hope of finding the young singer soon. But no one thought that Duong Hung Khanh had passed away.

Duong Hung Khanh's younger brother recounted: "The family posted a missing person notice last month after completely losing contact with him. A few days ago, the Ben Tre Provincial Police contacted the family to say they had found a body suspected to be him, along with his identification documents and ATM card, and invited the family to come and confirm his identity."

"When we arrived in Ben Tre, the family still hoped it was just a misunderstanding and didn't believe he had passed away," the singer's younger brother added.

Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, it was learned that Duong Hung Khanh's body had already been recovered by local residents on June 23rd. "People have temporarily buried him while waiting for his relatives to come and claim him. The family still doesn't know the exact time of his death, only that he drowned. Yesterday, he was brought home," the singer's younger brother added.

Before his disappearance, the singer shared many sad posts on his personal page. His most recent Facebook post was on June 16th, wishing everyone happiness.

Singer Duong Hung Khanh, whose real name is Vo Thuc Dinh, was born on October 18, 1993, in Ha Tinh province into a family with two brothers. Passionate about singing, the young singer moved to the South to pursue his career after being admitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Music.

In 1993, at the age of 20, Duong Hung Khanh won first prize at a singing competition for students in Ho Chi Minh City. Introduced as someone who could sing both sentimental folk songs and pop music, he released the single "Sến" (Sentimental) and the album "Anh luôn phía sau em" (I'm Always Behind You).

A representative from his management company stated that before his death, Duong Hung Khanh had one unreleased musical product.
