Do Ro suspension bridge is 194m long, 2m wide and has been in use since August 2010. This is the largest cable-stayed bridge in Tan Ky district, connecting the Ho Chi Minh trail to the communes of Nghia Dong, Nghia Thai, Nghia Hoan... (Tan Ky district) and up National Highway 48 to the mountainous districts in the West of Nghe An province such as: Nghia Dan, Que Phong...

Every day, thousands of people travel across the bridge. Among them, a large number of high school students from Nghia Binh commune use the bridge to go to school at Tan Ky ethnic boarding school.
However, after many years of use, the bridge has seriously degraded, posing many potential risks of accidents for people, especially during the rainy season.

Currently, hundreds of screws and iron bolts fixing the wooden panels of Do Ro bridge have been lost, leaving only the buttons. Many iron braces have also lost their screws, so they have bent upwards like knife blades, posing a danger to road users.

Mr. Tran Van Hoa, residing in Nghia Dong commune, said: Although this situation has been going on for a long time, no authorities have yet fixed it. Meanwhile, we still have to cross this bridge every day because there is no other way.
