The Do Ro suspension bridge is 194m long, 2m wide, and has been in operation since August 2010. It is the largest cable-stayed bridge in Tan Ky district, connecting the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the communes of Nghia Dong, Nghia Thai, Nghia Hoan... (Tan Ky district) and further north to National Highway 48 leading to the western mountainous districts of Nghe An province such as Nghia Dan, Que Phong...

Every day, thousands of people use the bridge. A large number of them are high school students from Nghia Binh commune who use the bridge to get to school at Tan Ky Ethnic Boarding School.

However, after many years of use, the bridge has seriously deteriorated, posing many accident risks to the people, especially during the rainy season.

Currently, hundreds of iron screws and bolts securing the wooden planks on the Do Ro bridge have disappeared, leaving only the bare studs. Many iron braces have also lost their screws, causing them to bend upwards like blades, posing a danger to road users.

Mr. Tran Van Hoa, residing in Nghia Dong commune, said: "Although this situation has been going on for a long time, no authorities have yet repaired it. Meanwhile, we still have to cross this bridge every day because there is no other way."

Given the above situation, we hope that the relevant authorities will promptly investigate, address, and take timely corrective measures.
