Phan School 'grabbed' 2 valedictorians of Literature in Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) - With a near-perfect score of 9.75, Dau Vinh Phuong Uyen and Le Thi Hong Nhung are the two female students with the highest literature scores in the national high school exam in Nghe An.

Dau Vinh Phuong Uyen: "The secret is not to learn by rote"

Dau Vinh Phuong Uyen said that as soon as she learned that her literature score was 9.75, she could not contain her emotions and shouted loudly, causing her parents to rush over. Knowing that their beloved daughter had achieved a near-perfect score, Phuong Uyen's parents hugged and congratulated her.

"When he knew I won third prize in the national literature competition, my father just patted me on the shoulder and praised me, but he didn't burst into tears like when he knew my high school exam results," Phuong Uyen excitedly said.

Literature score was 9.75; Math score was 8.8; English score was 9.6 with the total score Phuong Uyen achieved in the national high school exam being 28.15, an extremely impressive number for a candidate taking the D block exam. Sharing her secret to studying Literature, Phuong Uyen said that she really likes studying literature but does not study by rote.

Phuong Uyen believes that Literature is a subject that can express her own personality. With each lesson, she learns the main idea, then analyzes it to understand more deeply and develops it into her own. Thanks to that, although it is a specialized subject, for Phuong Uyen, studying Literature is not difficult at all.

Talking about her Literature exam score of 9.75, Phuong Uyen said she liked the opening part of the essay about "empathy" in life with the lyrics of musician Trinh Cong Son "Living in life, you need to have a heart".

Phuong Uyen said that her parents do not put much emphasis on achievements or studying, but always remind her to be self-aware and take control of her own path. Sharing about her future dreams, Phuong Uyen said that she has enrolled in the Faculty of Literature Pedagogy to become a teacher who can teach knowledge and how to be a good person to students.

Le Thi Hong Nhung: "Practice writing introduction and conclusion 1 week before the exam"

When she learned that she got 9.75 points in Literature, Hong Nhung burst into tears of joy because she did not expect such a high score. Nhung said that when she left the exam room, she was not really satisfied with her work even though it was her major subject.

Because the first day of the exam was stressful, I made some mistakes. If I did the first two questions quite confidently, then the last literary argumentative question because I lost my composure, I did not do it satisfactorily and after finishing the exam, I only scored 8 - 8.5 points.

Nhung's total score for Math, Literature, and English was 26.35 points. According to Nhung, the secret to achieving a score of 9.75 was practicing writing one week before the exam.

Nhung said that because the conclusion usually falls near the end of the time, she and many other students often feel confused and run out of ideas. Furthermore, according to Nhung, the national high school literature exam is divided into sections to get points. The introduction and conclusion sections can be easier to get points than the body.

In her exam, Nhung liked the last part of the essay commenting on the concept of the country of author Nguyen Khoa Diem the most. Nhung quoted the author's own saying "I am proud to live in the heroic era of my nation to understand the country, understand life and understand myself better" before concluding the essay.
