Ensuring the safety of the power grid during the rainy and stormy season.
(Baonghean.vn) - To ensure the safe and smooth operation of the power grid system, especially during the rainy and stormy season, Nghi Loc Power Company has implemented many solutions to proactively respond to any possible situation.
In Hamlet 13, Nghi Van Commune (Nghi Loc District), after taking over the severely degraded power grid, the patched-up wires of various types, the leaning power poles, and the weak power supply failed to meet the electricity needs of over 300 households. Therefore, the District Power Company mobilized maximum manpower to replace the wires to prevent overloading of the power lines passing through the hamlet, both to ensure electricity for residents and to ensure the safety of the power grid before the rainy and stormy season.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Vinh, a technical worker at Nghi Loc Power Company, said: "To ensure the safety of the power grid before the rainy and stormy season, the power industry is constantly replacing old wires with new ones. Despite the hot weather, with the spirit of serving the people, we strive to restore electricity to the people as quickly and stably as possible."
Currently, Nghi Loc Power Company has completed the takeover of the rural low-voltage power grid in all 30 communes and towns, with over 1,000 km of low-voltage lines providing electricity to 66,700 customers. The majority of the rural low-voltage power grid after the takeover is in a dilapidated state, with old and worn-out poles and lines that do not meet safety standards.

Therefore, the unit is focusing on repairing power lines and replacing weak poles. To avoid electrical leakage incidents that could cause damage to people and property, the district power company has assigned specific tasks to each production team, conducting a thorough inspection of the entire power grid, identifying locations and equipment that do not meet operating standards, and then developing plans for replacement and repair. Sufficient spare parts and equipment are being prepared for replacement and repair in case of incidents, with the goal of ensuring the electricity needs of the people are met.
From the beginning of 2017 to the present, the district's power company has repaired approximately 5km of low-voltage power lines, upgraded the medium-voltage power lines from 10 KV to 22 KV over 4km in length through Nghi Quang and Nghi Thiet communes; added 7 transformer stations with a capacity of 250-300 KVA; replaced more than 15,000m of power lines and 43 substandard low-voltage capacitors with a total cost of over 17 billion VND. This has contributed to preventing overload, reducing the power supply radius, and improving the quality of electricity for residents.

Nghi Loc Power Company continues to strengthen the repair and upgrading of the power grid system and implement plans for storm and flood prevention."
