Early morning of August 13th: Vietnam welcomes meteor shower.
The year's biggest meteor shower, with a peak density of up to 100 meteors per hour, will be visible in Vietnam on the night of August 12th and the early morning of August 13th.
The Perseids meteor shower is created by the dust left behind by the Swift-Tuttle comet as it passes by Earth. The Perseids meteor shower occurs annually from July 17th to August 24th, peaking on the night of August 12th and the early morning of August 13th.
According to the Vietnam Young Astronomers Association, the best time to observe the Perseids meteor shower is in the early morning of August 12-14, with August 13 being the most ideal day, and observation should be after midnight. Observers should look towards the northeast sky, where the constellation Perseus is located.

Viewers can observe the Perseids with the naked eye and must be patient, as the time between meteor showers can range from a few seconds to several minutes.
The Perseid meteor shower is considered one of the most beautiful meteor showers of the year. Every year, these showers light up the sky as Earth passes through the debris-filled tail of the Swift-Tuttle comet.
They are called Perseids because they often appear from the constellation Perseus. They are essentially clumps of ice and dust, ranging in size from as small as grains of sand to as large as peas. When they reach Earth's atmosphere, they travel at speeds of up to 215 km/h; however, they pose no real danger.
