Provincial Border Guard: 100% of personnel ready to respond to Typhoon No. 2.
(Baonghean.vn) - To proactively respond to the developments of Typhoon No. 2, which is about to make landfall, the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command has directed its units to urgently deploy flood and storm prevention and search and rescue operations. They are maintaining 100% of their personnel and equipment (ships, boats, canoes, cars, etc.) ready for deployment in case of emergencies.

Accordingly, the Provincial Border Guard Command established three working groups to inspect and supervise the implementation of storm prevention and control measures at various units.
At the same time, the Command requested units to coordinate closely with local Party committees, authorities, and relevant forces to inform ships operating at sea about the location, direction of movement, and development of Typhoon No. 2, and dangerous areas, so that they can proactively take preventive measures to ensure safety; maintain regular contact with ship and boat owners; compile and report all people and fishing vessels operating at sea; and strictly enforce the ban on all types of ships, boats, and transport vehicles going out to sea.

As of 2 PM on July 16th, Nghe An province had 3,912 vessels and 18,523 workers directly involved in seafood fishing. Of these, 176 vessels with 1,490 workers were operating in Nghe An's coastal waters; 5 vessels with 60 workers were operating in other provinces and in shared fishing grounds. To date, 3,635 vessels with 16,287 workers have anchored at ports; 96 vessels with 686 workers are anchored outside the province (in Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, and Thanh Hoa); and 91 vessels with 493 workers have anchored in other provinces.
All vessel owners operating at sea have been notified about the location and trajectory of Typhoon No. 2.
