Provincial Border Guard: 100% of troops ready to respond to storm No. 2
(Baonghean.vn) - To proactively respond to the developments of storm No. 2 about to make landfall, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province has directed units to urgently deploy storm and flood prevention, search and rescue work. Maintain 100% of troops and vehicles (ships, boats, canoes, cars...) ready to mobilize when situations arise.

Accordingly, the Provincial Border Guard Command has established 3 working groups to inspect and urge the implementation of storm prevention work at the units.
At the same time, the Command requested units to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and relevant forces to inform ships operating at sea of the location, direction of movement, and developments of storm No. 2, and dangerous areas to proactively prevent and avoid safety; maintain regular contact with ship and boat owners; count and report all people and fishing boats operating at sea; strictly implement the ban on all types of ships, boats, and means of transport from going to sea.

As of 2:00 p.m. on July 16, Nghe An province had 3,912 vessels and 18,523 workers directly fishing. Of these, 176 vessels were operating in the coastal area of Nghe An with 1,490 workers; 5 vessels with 60 workers were operating in other provinces and the common fishing area. Up to now, 3,635 vessels/16,287 workers have been anchored at the wharf; 96 vessels/686 workers have been anchored outside the area (Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa); 91 vessels/493 workers have been anchored outside the province.
All vehicle owners operating at sea have received notice of the location and direction of storm No. 2.
