'The White Vultures' beat arch-rival Barca in the race to sign midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Dani Ceballos, born in 1996, was the best player at the European U21 finals last month. According to AS, Real Madrid spent $20.5 million to acquire this young star from Real Betis. Of this, Betis received $17 million, and Dani himself received the remaining $3.5 million.

Ceballos is expected to undergo a medical examination today, July 9. The 20-year-old midfielder is expected to sign a six-year contract with the Bernabeu team.

Ceballos is a transfer target for Real and Barca after his brilliant form at the European Under-21s. However, Real have won the race because the young Betis star wants to move to the Bernaubeu.

Ceballos will meet his new teammates on July 21 after completing his summer break. He will join the Bernabeu team's summer tour, which begins on July 21. At Real, Ceballos will reunite with Marco Asensio, his partner in the European Under-21s and another rough diamond for the Bernabeu team.

The signing of Ceballos could see Mateo Kovacic leave. The Croatian midfielder has been frustrated with his lack of playing time, and Tottenham are the most interested in the deal. The English club have reportedly made a £28 million offer to Real for Kovacic.

Meanwhile, according to AS, after hearing the news of Ceballos' move to the Bernabeu, James Rodriguez wants to complete his departure from Real in the next 48 hours.
