Bank transaction room wall collapsed, one person died

(Baonghean.vn)- While demolishing the wall of the transaction office of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Tho Yen branch (Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district), a person was crushed by the wall and died.

The victim was identified as Mr. Nguyen Van Ky (born 1962), residing in Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

On August 2, Tho Thanh commune authorities confirmed the above news. Accordingly, the incident occurred at around 9am on August 1, at which time Mr. Ky and his wife participated in demolishing the wall of the old headquarters of Tho Yen Transaction Office (under the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development).

While working, Mr. Ky was hit by a 3.5m high wall that collapsed on him, killing him. Luckily, Mr. Ky’s wife was outside at the time and escaped.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities quickly arrived to handle the incident.

Today (August 2), the family held a funeral for the victim.
