Prison No. 6 has a new warden.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 9th, at Prison No. 6 (General Department VIII - Ministry of Public Security), the General Department of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Assistance announced the decision of the Prison Warden.That is Major Tran Ba Toan.
Attending the event were Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang - Director General of the General Department of Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support (Ministry of Public Security); Major General Phan Xuan Son - Deputy Director General of General Department VIII; Major General Vi Quang Thieu - Director of Department C90 (General Department VIII), along with representatives from the leadership of Prison No. 5, prisons located in Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces, and representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities where the unit is stationed.

Accordingly, based on work requirements and the proposal of General Department VIII, on August 1, 2017, General Department III signed a decision to transfer and appoint Major Tran Ba Toan, formerly the Deputy Superintendent of Prison No. 5, to take up the position of Superintendent of Prison No. 6.
In his directive and assignment speech at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang emphasized that Comrade Tran Ba Toan must, on the one hand, uphold and inherit the more than 70-year tradition of building and developing Prison No. 6. At the same time, he must strive to ensure that more and more inmates reform well, reintegrate into society, and return to their families and communities.

Responding to the Director General's sentiments, Major Tran Ba Toan thanked the General Department and the supervisory boards of prisons No. 5 and No. 6 for their trust, and promised to make every effort to continue building Prison No. 6 into a leading unit in the work of rehabilitation, education, and helping prisoners reintegrate into the community.
